Hi,
I am really enjoying using amaroK (1.4beta1, SuSE10 x86_64), but I find the way it deals with ipods still to be sub-optimal. Is there a recommended way to connect an ipod? I.e. should you always manually mount (yuk) or is using HAL okay? Currently SuSE automounts my ipod under /media/ipod, then I have to click on connect to get amaroK to browse the contents. When I want to detach the ipod, the only way I can get round the non-root can\'t umount problem is to do eject /media/ipod (which I have configured the disconnect button to do). However, each time I do this, an amarok.lock file is left in /media/ipod, stopping me from reconnecting next time. Is there a way to get round this? Do I just need a simple script that runs each time disconnect is pressed? Eg /bin/rm /media/ipod/amarok.lock /bin/eject /media/ipod Keep up the good work. Cheers, Jon. |
