I just heard that there will be no more kio support in amarok 1.4. why? does this mean i wont be able to listen to the music i have on my server at home? i dont want to copy all music on my laptop...

You could set up Ampache (http://www.ampache.org/). It works great with xine-engine, which supports http playback.

KIO support may be ported to the GStreamer-0.10 engine, but currently it\'s not there.
