amaroK OSD as an external program?

Sun Apr 09, 2006 2:44 pm
Hi,
I would like to use an OSD for some of my shell scripts. I could use osd_cat (from the xosd package), but it looks (in my opinion) very ugly in comparison to the OSD of amaroK. Would it be possible to make the OSD available as a stand-alone program? Or is this to much effort?

Thanks in advance,
Sirius

I would like to use it in some other programs, too.
It looks really great.

It was specifically written with portability in mind, so you would be able to rip it out and use it in any other c++ app.
