QLayout: Adding KToolBar/mainToolBar (child of QVBox/unnamed) to layout for PlaylistWindow/PlaylistWindow
STARTUP ASSERT: "i <= nodes" in /usr/qt/3/include/qvaluelist.h (373) ASSERT: "i <= nodes" in /usr/qt/3/include/qvaluelist.h (373) ASSERT: "i <= nodes" in /usr/qt/3/include/qvaluelist.h (373) ASSERT: "i <= nodes" in /usr/qt/3/include/qvaluelist.h (373) ASSERT: "i <= nodes" in /usr/qt/3/include/qvaluelist.h (373) thats all it does using xine. now what? it goes through every track in my playlist (displaying "playing") and immediately goes to the next track. of course, it plays nothing. needless to say, it adds a playcount to every title it did not play what am i missing? |

a little note to my post above: is that what you call "FAST FORWARD"? well, it actually is
anyway, entered the xine settings in amarok, and switched from autodetect sound engine to ALSA. look what i get: QWidget::setMinimumSize: The smallest allowed size is (0,0) QComboBox::setCurrentItem: (speakerComboBox) Index 1 out of range QComboBox::setCurrentItem: (speakerComboBox) Index 1 out of range Failed to read a valid object file image from memory. amaroK ist abgestürzt! Das tut uns wirklich sehr leid ![]() Aber möglicherweise ist bereits eine Aktualisierung verfügbar, die das Problem b ehebt. Bitte prüfen Sie Softwarequelle Ihrer Distribution. hello????? |

Hi, Hm, if I am informed correctly, gstreamer engine is there, it is just disabled by default because it is not up to "par" with other engines. Kind regards, Mario |

If you are trying to play mp3's you need mad for xine.
ps is that a home rolled ebuild? there is no 1.4.0 in portage. |

i am just recompiling xine with mad. no, not homebrew, emerge --sync and see, the ebuild is in since yesterday. http://packages.gentoo.org/ebuilds/?amarok-1.4.0

Xine will skip flac files containing id3 tags. Not sure if that is your problem.

recompiled xine with mad support. switched to xine, and setting modul to "automatic", again:
amaroK ist abgestürzt! Das tut uns wirklich sehr leid ![]() Aber möglicherweise ist bereits eine Aktualisierung verfügbar, die das Problem behebt. Bitte prüfen Sie Softwarequelle Ihrer Distribution. however, this does ONLY happen if there is something in the playlist window. if i clear the playlist window, switching to xine is fine. this is a bug. //edit: no, i am not playing anything of course, just have tracks in the playlist window ;( //edit2: yes, xine is now playing with mad support, though.. all of the above should not have happened in the 1st place. an unexperienced user will never find out what went wrong.

This happens quite often for me as well and I thought I'd gone insane when I heard my songs begin to skip at accelerating speeds. I'm still not 100% sure how to fix this, but it's playing fine now... so as long as I don't change anything it works.
I think it may be related to what you install with amarok in Apt. Could be if you install amarok, amarok-Xine, and amarok-engines all at the same time. If I remember correclty from my last reinstallation, unchecking the engines package stopped it. Maybe I'm wrong though... |

it's gone.. like arts and gstreamer. Devs think that we're must recode our thousands of mp3's manually. Heh.. amarok suxx..

Why in the world would you *EVER* "recode" (I assume you mean transcode) your MP3 (read lossy) files?! |
