no, this version i am talking about is the latest release (1.4a). i am just wondering if it is supposed to be like that or not. or a bug, or whatnot.

That behaviour is "back to normal" as you put it, in current svn. However, knowing how you feel about amarok at the moment, I don't think you'll like current svn much.
so it's up to you whether you check out or not.

hmm.. i always have the chance to have several versions of amaroK running, so no big eal (3 computers here).

b) try an official ebuild or the amarok-svn script

c) it's intended, to make it easier for people to fix tags.

d) perhaps if you asked nicely about issues rather than immediately going on the defensive, the devs might be bothered replying.

e) gladly, although why you'd care is beyond me.
