I ripped a CD and encoded the tracks as flac files, but amarok cannot load or play them when I activate the helix engine. After choosing xine, it works fine.
I found that out by coincidence, maybe there should be a better error-message instead of  something like "amarok cannot load these files" because I thought that something was wrong with my files, not with the engine.

I'm not a developer but i think you're supposed to post that issue as a wish at bugs.kde.org
