Disable Volume OSD

Sat Jul 22, 2006 11:45 am
Hi,

I'm not sure if this is currently possible but can I disable the volume OSD with out disabling the other OSD announcements? I recently installed a script to normalize the volume of each track but to do this it changes the volume. So when the next song starts to play the track info popups only to be immediately replaced by the volume OSD as the script alters the volume.

I'm not sure how useful this feature would be to others but in this case the OSD becomes almost useless as you never really see the track info. I realise this is in someway a problem with the script but I'd like to be able to use both feature.

How about calling
void enableOSD(bool enable)
to disable OSD just before you change the volume and enable it right afterwards.

Not sure if this works and it iis for sure a hack. Just a suggestion.
