amarok (1.4.1, but has been this way since i started using it) takes quite a while to clear a playlist, especially a large one. if anything, this seems worse with a mysql database than a sqlite one, and the mysql process gets very busy.

this is something of an anoyance, only made worse by the feeling that it seems unnesessary - ie. what intensive database access is required to clear a (unplayed) playlist?

a small wrinkle in an otherwise great app.

any thoughts?
