What's the best way to do this? I would like to control amarok via a ssh X-forwarded interface on my Nokia 770 and also stream the music I play in amarok to it. I currently use slimserver with the music player on my Nokia 770 and it works really great but I miss the amarok interface and functionality (Nokia 770 has an 800x480 resolution, which should be enough for that operation, but there are still problems since X-forwarded window cannot be brought back if minimized).

Bye, tira.

I already knew these and there is one more that grabs the output from the soundcard, but that seemed to complicated to me and I want to ssh X-forward the amarok gui.

I discovered that there is a gstreamer plugin that allows to output to an icecast server and wanted to try it. But unfortunately I could't succeed in building amarok with gstreamer support with the svn installation script on the wiki.

Bye, tira.

You could try using the pulseaudio ALSA plugin.
