i uses amarok almost 24/7 - btw. great thing to love linux for...
the feature (i don't know if it would not be somewhere else - KDE applet?) I wish is to low down amarok's volume when I start to watch a film for example...and then when the movie is over - raise volume up can amarok watch which programs are using the sound card and what volume is used by other program? there can be priority which program low amarok's volume and which not... don't know if it is now possible or not, I know that I can make s script which I will start to load the movie but that is not so comfortably great like amarok ![]() thanx for reading my horrible wishes in english |

Using global shortcut keys are really useful for that.
Whenever I watch a movie, or need to pause my music I just hit "win+c". There are also hotkeys for skipping tracks, fast-forwarding/rewinding, and changing volume. If you want to customize them you can find them under: settings -> configure global shortcuts.
