I was initially under the impression that the itunes functionality on my Motorola phone was setup to work exactly like the ipod would when it came to connecting the device to a computer and loading/changing mp3 files but apparantly that is not the case as my E1 will not work with Amarok in any manner that I have been able to try up to this point. Has anyone gotten any of the itunes phones to work with Amarok? Linux detects the device fine but the fact that I cannot run itunes on linux makes that detection worthless for anything other than basic file transfers. The itunes part of the phone won't even give you access to your music collection directly. You MUST access the mp3's on the phone through itunes only. I was really hoping that would change when the new Amarok came out as i am really giving my Vmware workstation a workout everytime I want to change the music on my phone. I hate the fact that I have to boot a windows VM just to change the music on my phone. Is anyone aware of a linux based setup that works with the itunes equipped phones? //drum

Perhaps you can make it work with the information from this bug report: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131487
Amarok 1.4.2 & 1.4.3 should support it.

Additional information is in this bug report: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131910
Also important is: you have to use libgpod from cvs.

And please let us know if you have success.
