Hi all,

Tonight I finally figured out how to play last.fm streams in Amarok 1.4.3 w/ ubuntu 6.06.1.

The stream starts playing, but about halfway (or less) through the song the sound stalls out. Nothing will play and I eventually have to kill Amarok, start it again, only to have the same problem again.

I'm on broadband with 2800/768k speed so connection speed "shouldn't" be an issue.

Other radio streams seem to work just fine, as well as .mp3 files on the computer.
Any thoughts on what the problem might be?

I noticed something today. Its not that the last.fm thread is stalling.

When I connect the song starts playing through my speakers, but then the sound cuts off. However, the progress bar at the bottom continues throught the song. Then Amarok will que up the next song on the last.fm thread and start "playing" it, albeit with zero sound coming through the speakers.

Playing files or other streaming media makes noise just like it should, just not last.fm sound!

Anyone have any ideas? Its not a hardware issue.

Robert
