I love amarok! But I also love Gnome running Xgl/Compiz! This love triangle has been causing me heartache lately though.

Amarok was running beautifuly in gnome with Xgl but I could not change themes in amarok, So being the n00b-tard I am I installed KDE hoping that the required libraries would be included to allow it to accept themes.

The good news is after installing KDE amarok did accept themes, but installing KDE wrecked my gnome/Xgl/compiz desktop.   Also I had run abackup or something like that so I thought that if installing KDE would cause a problem I could just roll back to before I made the changes, but again I screwed something up and my back up was just of a couple of directories.  :p

So long story short (too late ) does anyone know what parts of KDE I need to run amarok the way it was meant to run?

Thanks in advance!
Dave
