Hi, I have a simple question that I have not been able to find an answer about.
Amarok recently added in tag editor a field for cd number.

My question is: Is that information embedded in a tag in the mp3 file or is it only recorded in my collection databse ?

Because, if I use EasyTAG, I don't see the disc number, so i'm not sure if the disc number has really been written in the mp3 file. I know Amarok now write tags in id3 v 2.4 and I think EasyTAG doesn't read them. Is it the reason EasyTAG doesn't see the cd number in my mp3 files ?
If my supposition about EasyTag is true and that Amarok really write disc number in the mp3 file, is there an other app that read id3 v2.4 so I can compare and verify everything is ok ?

The problem is indeed ID3 V2.3 vs V2.4. To my knowledge EasyTag still uses ID3Lib, which means it can only read V2.3 tags.
