I've tried searching these forums / Google and haven't found anything, so here goes:

I have a few mp2 and mp1 files, and Amarok doesn't load them in my collection. The files play back fine (though I have to rename the mp1 to mp2 or mp3), so is there a reason they're not supported?

Well, do the tags show up if you rename them to mp3?

My idea is that they aren't supported because none of the developers use them or have them (really, these are very rare, and I've only seen mp2 once in my life).

You maybe have a point, but (at least in the UK) digital radio is broadcast in mp2.
