I also wish that someone had made a bugmenot account before me. The registration process was painfull!

* The catchpa was unreadable
* The register button was disabled even though "I agree" was checkboxed was checked (coming back from failed catchpa)
* The register button didn't look disabled because of the css, making me curse at my browser for freezing.

I'm sorry you had a bad registration experience, however when we DID allow guest posting, we were inundated with spam.
Unfortunately we all have to pay the price for these scamming pricks.
