Running Amarok on the Playstation 3

Wed Dec 27, 2006 8:48 pm
Does anyone have a recommendation on the best way to install and run Amarok on a Playstation 3 (on the Linux OS).  I'm open to running any form of Linux - Fedora, Yellow Dog Linux, etc.  Is anyone aware of instructions on the net that give a step-by-step on how to get Amarok running on a PS3.

I believe that you can install the Linux distribution, and simply install Amarok as normal. You won't be able to use win32codecs (as they are designed for x86 platforms).

win32codecs shouldn't be necessary as much now though, xine supports a lot more media types (I'm assuming you are using the xine backend, since it's has always been the best for me)
