To all of our enthusiastic SVN Amarok users:
Amarok 2.0 (based on Qt4/KDE4) development has now started in SVN trunk. This means that Amarok from SVN will be quite broken for quite some time to come; it may not even compile. The stable (1.4) branch is located at: branches/stable/extragear/multimedia/amarok/ However, since Amarok 1.4 development is mostly finished, you may simply want to stick to Amarok 1.4.7.

Any hints or pointers to make it compile with KDE4/Qt4 will help. Is it just download and install the libs from KDE 3.80.2 at http://kde.org/info/3.80.2.php and then build Amarok using it or something more.

At this point trunk is only interesting for developers. It does not even compile currently.

An update to the amarok-svn.sh script has just been posted to kde-apps.org :
http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=27313 No doubt, as 2.0 development progresses, another script will be written to checkout the dev branch, but for now, stick to stable.
