checking for X... configure: error: Can't find X libraries.

That is the error message that I get when running the ./configure command.  Does anyone know what libraries have to be installed?

try:
sudo apt-get install xorg-dev

(got that from http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=361365)
