I have some Amarok wishlist so that I can 100% NOT using iTunes:

* convert Replaygain values to iPod Soundcheck
* embedding lyrics, so I can see lyric in iPod
* Gapless playback support (esp. in iPod)

Have you looked into the bug tracking system if your wishes already exist (or open a wish yourself)?

Amarok supports gapless playback, even crossfading. Not sure how a computer media player affects your iPod in this way...

maybe amarok metadata ( start and stop position) not yet transfered to iPod metadata..?

I don't know if the iPod can read the USLT frame in ID3v2.4 but this skript may help you:

I think iPod read lyric from ID3
but something need to be activated in iTunesDB
