First of all tx for this great audioplayer 
Since amarok 2 will have basic video support, is it possible to create a konqueror-plugin to play embedded video/audio, the video support is basic anyway, and it makes more sens to me to open an instance of amarok (which is most of the time already open) than to have kaffeine play the thing, or kmediaplayer. The functions needed are also quite rudimentary so it might fit into the amarok philosophy of not having a lot video features. Don't know if anybody likes it but well it's just an idea.

Edit: perhaps a mozilla-plugin might be better since a lot of people using gnome and firefox do have amarok installed, and it makes it possible to have amarok being used as the preferred embedded media player on other OS'es with a lot of other browsers as well.
