MySQL Database Is Huge

Fri Jun 01, 2007 9:12 pm
Hello, I have about 1,350 tracks in my collection, not a huge amount by all accounts, and use MySQL as the database.
Yesterday, I upgraded from Fedora Core 6 to Fedora 7 so I dumped my database using phpMyAdmin's export feature and found it to be 600Mb! Is this normal? It seems very large for something that only stores text data. I'm just re-importing it and it has been going a good half hour so far.

No thats not normal. Are you sure Amarok is the only thing in it?

MySQL database EXTREMELY small (0lines=) What could prevent Amarok from writing to the DB? It  has all possible premissions.
PS: SQlite works fine, 2500 songs in collection.
