[SOLVED] Cannot change song's label

Wed Jun 20, 2007 5:24 pm
This just happened today, never before. When I try to change a song's label, like title, album, whatsoever, an error message prompts:

Code: Select all
You cannot change "name of the song" label

I tried changing some atributes through EasyTAG but amaroK doesn't seem to recognize them, even if "reload collection" is selected.

What can I do?

It happens with any kind of audio file: mp3, wma... And message is always the same.

Code: Select all
Could not change label for (title of the song)

Could it be because of last amarok's upgrade?

And songs are on your local hard disk, and you have write permissions, i.e. you can edit tags with konqueror file properties?

Ok, solved. Your last question gave me the clue. I have the songs in an external hard drive in ntfs. I use ntfs-3g without problems.

To mount the device I run a script to have write permission. However, somehow for last two weeks it has also been mounted automatically, so without permissions. I had not noticed until I read your message. Anyway, thanks for your help.
