Storing Every Play Date

Fri Jul 06, 2007 6:24 pm
I am interested in gathering the following information (examples):

1) What songs do I listen to on Christmas?
2) What songs did I listen to in 1999?
3) Which artists did I listen to in January of 2005?

In order to query the database for these questions, I need a table that stores every play date.  I know adding GUI functionality with such a feature would require more work, but this seems like it would be extremely quick to implement in the backend.  Is anything like this in progress?  Or could someone point me in the direction?

i'm interested in this too, if only so i have the capability of doing full data conversion between this and my windows-side player which i'll eventually get round to.

of course, it would also provide interesting statistics possibilities

You could write a script that stores such information in a separate database. You can then query this database for such information.

hey kdjams i found a plugin that does this

go tools -> script manager -> get more scripts and then try and find amarok music diary. it requires some other library to work so i haven't tried it yet.
