I'm looking for a way to get Amarok to organize my music folder similar to the way iTunes does.

Say I have 1 song with the artist name of "asdf" in a folder called "asdf", then I change the artist name to "qwerty". Amarok will create a new directory called "qwerty", move the song to that directory and delete the "asdf" directory (if there are no other songs in it).

Is there anything like that now, or maybe I can look forward to seeing it in Amarok 2?

I've been using Amarok for about a year now, its hands down the best media player I've ever used. Thanks for such a great product!

check out the right-click menu - you're looking for "manage collection". Clicking on advanced options will allow you to customise the way directories and files are named.
