Feature Request: Local tagging songs.

Sun Jul 15, 2007 11:51 pm
Hello!

My first post in the AmaroK community...

I'm dreaming of a feature.

I listen to musik when I'm going too bed and most of the time when I get new music I have to edit a playlist. This takes some time and is really boring and timetaking.

So, Im looking for a plugin similar to this one:

http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=44547

I want to anytime just edit a tag for  a song as "sleep" and when I want to filter/search for a song in the "searchbar" i type in "sleep" and then all songs which have gotten the tag sleep is in the playlist. Just like you want to just listen to ex. Metallica you just type metallica, this is kind of the same thing...

If this already excists, im sorry, please enlighten me then :]

If not, is there any chance to do this?

EDIT: I included the "Comments" tag in my playlist an commented my "sleeping"song as "sleep" and that did it, voila =)

You want to check out the "labels" feature. Allows you to add arbitrary tags to your music.

type label:"sleep" into the filter line (collection or playlist)

It will only list tracks with label sleep

Alright, thanks... but it doesnt work in the playlist filter though... but what the heck, I got a solution, Im happy about it.

Thanks!

EDIT: I had to filter like this:

label=:"sova"

sova = my label.
