I'm running Ubuntu (gnome) 7.04 and Amarok 1.4.6.  I can't fast forward within a track when playing FLAC files.  Is fast forwarding not supported?

Another question, is ALAC supported in Amarok? 

I do not know about ALAC, but this is something general:

• It will play if the used backend (e.g. xine, helix, ...) can play it
• It will be added to the collection when taglib supports it

You can check both if you take a look at their websites.
