There are a number of ways to get your multimedia keys to work with amarok, but if you want it to work with more than one app there problem, right?

Well I found ReMoot. ReMoot let you control amarok and 17 more multimedia apps through your playpause, stop, next etc buttons. and if you have a web enabled gadget you can control the apps through ReMoots web interface.
