I've read elsewhere in this forum that Amarok supports transferring audible.com .aa audio book files. So, I contacted audible and asked if I could get a sample .aa file to test my setup. They placed a file in my account, but I was unable to download it using Linux and Firefox. Evidently there's a download manager used under Windows. Is there a way to download audible .aa files and transfer them to my mp3 player using Amarok under Linux?

Unfortunately, I don't know of any audible download manager for Linux, but it should be too hard to write one.
But there is another obstacle: as far as I know, transferring audible files works only with ipods. I don't have any idea how other players handle that. |

I just noticed: downloading from audible works nicely if you configure konqueror to send safari 2.0's user agent header.
