Hi, since I don't have much space on my harddisk I would like to put my collection of mp3 on DVD.
Each DVD will be tagged with an ID like "Music 1", "Music 2", etc.

The thing I want to know is: Is it possible to have Amarok have the name of files in the collection and when you add them to the playlist it asks you to insert your DVD where you have the music on, maybe copy it to a temporary folder (only if you want shuffle playlist) and then play them?

Thank you
I.

So basically, you want to use a DVD as a read-only removable media device? Sounds plausible.

Could the device manager doojamit do this?

Probably not using the same framework as removable devices - I think the problem is that removable media is treated differently to removable devices by the OS.
