Iceberg radio?

Sat Nov 24, 2007 1:49 pm
First off, I love Amarok - way cool project, and excellent work!  I've been enjoying the Shoutcast streams, but I was wondering if there were any plans to include streams from Iceberg radio (http://www.icebergradio.com/), which is IMO one of the very best quality internet radio stations to be found.  I used to really enjoy Iceberg's stations when I used XP, both in Firefox and via an app called Solway's Player, but sadly I seem to have completely lost Iceberg since moving to Ubuntu.   Firefox's flash player won't play their site.  I tried creating radio channels in Amarok using the stream links I copied over from XP, but Amarok won't play the streams at all (Curiously, Rhythmbox WILL play the streams, but only for one song and then it stops).  Just for curiosity's sake, here's an example of their stream links, this one for their Progressive Power metal channel:

http://playlist.icebergradio.com/clientasx.php?listener_id=1&station_id=41458&zone_id=214&group_id=59&speed=64&session_id=11181405835224580330&uid=4ab8bff1a1407753586470a0f9dd9bad&mount=

The selection of Iceberg channels would make an excellent addition to Amarok, and if anyone has any ideas why the stream links won't work when manually created now, please post, thanks!
