i am more then glad to help but i have no experience outside of java at the present moment in time as this is what im learning as a requirement for my degree.

I can see you don't know much about Amarok.

It's built on top of the Qt Framework, which works on most platforms out there.

Amarok also builds on linux, os x, and windows currently, and with a bit of work it makes noise.
