Does anyone know when Amarok 1.4.8 will be available from the Ubuntu repos?

Thanks Ian, that was easy.  For any other newbies like me trying this here are the steps I took in Ubuntu Gutsy...

  • In the System menu select Administration and then Software Sources
  • In the window that opens select the Update tab and tick the 'Unsupported updates (gutsy-backports)' box then close the window
  • Open a terminal window and type 'sudo apt-get install amarok'
