I have a question about performance...
I have a Fedora machine that I use for sharing my MP3 collection with other computers in the house, I also have a Fedora workstation that I use Amarok on. Will Amarok perform better if the MySQL database was on the server or on the workstation? obviously if I had multiple Linux stations using the DB it would make sense to put it on the server. |

Hmm I would guess that the network latency doesn't add much overhead on a standard LAN, so it shouldn't make much diff. But I can't say for sure.
