I cannot play this stream:

in Amarok. I get this error:

No suitable input plugin. This often means that the url's protocol is not supported. Network failures are other possible causes.

I think that Amarok does not understand it is a streaming.
Mplayer plays it without any problems.

Do you have any suggestions?

No No, please, don't blame it on Amarok, the engine does this work. You should possibly blame it on Xine. There must be something in the stream that the decoder cannot recognize.

MPlayer is independent and does not need any shared backends. MPlayer has its own codecs.
