Hi all

Havnt posted here in a while (amarok has been rock solid the past year ) but today i found out a starange thing on 2000 out of my 20,000 files.
The problem is that certain mp3 files play but i cant fast forward/skip at all and there is no info on the track length or bit rate. I thought at first that the files were defectice but they play well and i get the info on all other player (vlc,rhytmbox,banshee,xmms etc....). Can anyone tell me whats wrong?

Ok..some progress...

If i transcode the file to a new mp3 file it works in Amarok. Does any one know if there is a script/way to transcode a file from within Amarok that would replace the original one and keep all the tags/rating?
