before I discovered Amarok I used Banshee. In Banshee there is a function wich loads you the top 5 songs of the artist you were hearing from last.fm down. So I asked me, is there a script or function for Amarok which does exactly the same? If you look on the bottom of the following picture you will see what I mean:

Does Anyone now a script like this. Of course there is a function "Recommended Songs from #Artist" in Amarok, but this function just looks at me and calculates the recommended songs from me for me. So what I want to say is that with this function it's impossible to discover new songs (maybe better songs I know) from a artist.

seems that there is no script, wich can do that.

This has actually been built into Amarok for some time now (before Banshee IIRC).  You must have your last.fm account set in the Configure portion of Amarok, and check Retrieve similar artists.

Then when playing a song, go to the Context View (top tab on the left) and then the Music tab.. you should see something like this:


The artists that are NOT italicized are ones you have in your collection and can play by clicking on them. Also, notice the suggested songs list.. this comes from last.fm too, and contains songs that are similar to what you are playing that are in your collection.
