double-click to play?

Sun May 18, 2008 12:44 am
Hi - is there a way to configure Amarok such that, by double-clicking a song in my collection, it clears the playlist completely, adds that one song, and immediately plays it?  The current method of navigation is very awkward.

I'm new to both Amarok and Linux and don't know a lot about scripting or what "extras" Amarok is able to use.

I realize this has come up before, and I have looked in the forums.  Found threads include:

http://amarok.kde.org/forum/index.php/t ... 267.0.html

http://amarok.kde.org/forum/index.php/topic,5543.0.html

http://amarok.kde.org/forum/index.php/t ... 610.0.html

Only one of these was responded to on the forums here, and the one that did include a response - the last one - was not a helpful response to the end user.

What the last response means is that you should probably upgrade Amarok, because changes that were in SVN (Amarok's development repository) are now in the stable version, at this time 1.4.9.1

With the version from the repositories (in Ubuntu), there is nothing in the options that would describe that feature.
