I have an iPod shuffle and all seems fine. It mounts ok and I can transfer and remove songs from the device and play them from it on the machine. However why I unmount the iPod and try to listen to the songs the iPod tells me that it's empty.

Any idea what's going on?

I'm having this same issue but the fix was to set the iPod model which I can't do. In the media device tab, I have the option to set the device as an "Apple iPod Media Device" but cant find where to set it to a specific type like shuffle. Please help!

Using Amarok 1.4.9.1

there is a small ipod button at the top of the media device tab: press it, a small menu will show which lets you update your album artwork, set your ipod model.
