Can Amarok run ok on Ubuntu?

Wed May 28, 2008 6:58 pm
I used to use Kubuntu but lately have been using Ubuntu 7.10 which works well. I really liked Amarok which also worked with my Daughters Creative Zen V. I was going to install Banshee today but when I read on there site they don't seem to have the MTP feature that Amarok has. Does Amarok work ok with Ubuntu or does it require a KDE environment?

Thanks

It will work fine on Ubuntu. Just select it in the package manager and install away

Thanks. I will happily download and install immediately. I'm glad I didn't have to give this one up.

I run it under Ubuntu.  Runs great.  When it was originally installed, however, the help system didn't work.  I had to google how to install it.  Now it works.
