Amarok looking at another partition

Wed Jun 04, 2008 4:37 pm
I'm very new to Amarok and Linux, I dual boot with XP. All of my music in on my XP partition. I used to run rhythmbox and it was able to read this other partition and play my music. I moved to Amarok because of the file tagging operations that rhythmbox didn't have. The only problem now is that now i can't view or read from that XP partition with Amarok so I have no music to listen to when playing on Linux.

Is there a way to solve this problem? How so?

Try this:

Settings -> Configure Amarok

Choose 'Collection' on the left hand side.  Look for /media in the folder tree.  My Vista partition is under /media/ACER, have a look around, hopefully your setup will be similar.
