I using amarok 1.4.9.1 in openSuse 11 and for some reason its not showing the song titles when playing streaming radio stations. I've installed amarok on many other distros and all except this one has always showed the song titles as they are playing.
How can I add them to this version in opensuse11? |

The reason is probably that SUSE by default uses a self-made Amarok audio engine (I forget the name, it's really weird). This engine is known to be buggy and it's also totally unsupported by us.
Try switching to the "xine" engine instead, it might solve your problems.

I got stumped on that same issue for a while, with the same setup as you. I ended up giving Amarok 2 alpha a try though, which actually showed streaming song titles out of the box via repository install.
I'm not sure if that's because Xine is default on Amarok2 or not, as I can't seem to find out from any context menus or settings windows. *shrugs* |
