I am using Music Manager 1.4.3 (using KDE.4.2) and sometime - perhaps as a result of loading an update, I no longer am able to get the music to play at any reasonable volume.  I have checked all the controls that I know of but no luck.  Can anyone help me?

You realize 1.4.3 is like 2-3 years old or something. :)

Its not amarock, its alsa thats dropped volume.

Open a terminal window (alt-ctrl-t)
type the command "alsamixer" without the "quotes"
Use the left/right arrow keys to move the highlight to the PCM bar and use the up arrow to increase it to maximum

Make sure all the "mic" volumes are at zero.

Press Esc to close alsamixer and then type "exit" to close the terminal window.

This fixed it on my eee
