It has been asked quite a few times I know but I registered to express how great amarok is but it has this annoying feature. Most of the times I dont want to hear the whole song I am listening to and I want to change. It is very annoying when I double click instead it adds it to the playlist and then I have to manually go and play it through amarok.

Can you please include an option in V2.0?

I am on Ubuntu 8.04 btw and I love your software

Strictly speaking, V2.0 is in feature freeze which means that, no, it won't be in there.

As for a later release, I can't speak for the devs but Amarok tries to balance usability with the availability of options - a lot of options that need "just one checkbox" will clutter the program too much!

Out of curiosity, are you talking about double-clicking in the music library or double-clicking in an external file browser?
