Hi,
Amarok shows way too many music genres for my taste. I would like to erase some of them as for example "Hip hop dj" or "Aussie Rock" . I also don't have any mp3 files, which have these genres in their tags... Does anybody know how I can delete these Genres from the list? Christopher ![]() |

Where do you see these genres?

No idea where those are coming from, TBH. I don't have Amarok 1.x checked out here currently, so it's hard to verify.

Hm, okay, but do you know, if there is a config file, where these genres are in, so I can delete them manually?

Try rebuilding your collection - pre-defined smart playlists are created when the collection is built, afaik. Note an update may not do it, might have to be a full rescan.

hm, rebuilding the collection didn't help. .. maybe erase all personalized amarok-user data manually?
