Some of my albums don't have track lengths. Not sure how they got like that, I always rip my original CD's, no copies. Some have come from a 'doze platform (WinAmp), some on *nix (RhythmBox or Sound Juicer) but I have no idea where the ones with no time info originally got input. I do see that all the ones without time info are in flac format (.aac) Would be nice if Amarok could update the meta info with length after playing such a track. It would just check that track length was >0, and if not, monitor until the end of the song, then update accordingly. |

I still have not discovered how the time is entered into the metadata. I have one track which is normal in length, but Amarok seems to think it is months, weeks and days long. There are a few others with blank times, yet they play normally. The data is correct on the files themselves, and they display time correctly in Kaffeine.
My oddities are mostly .ogg, although there might be an mp3 or two. |
