Amarok 2: no CUE??

Wed Nov 05, 2008 10:32 am
I tried the last Amarok beta and discovered that it doesn't support CUE files

I know a lot of people which uses CUE sheets (i.e. downloaded from http://lindmik.sjoholm.dk/cues/).  The CUE files are especially  for club music genres and albums without silence between tracks. I can't imagine that I would use any player without CUE files support. I really disappointed that my favorite Amarok just missed this basic feature in its last version. It is real regression.

Oh, so I'm afraid that final Amarok 2 will be not so soon.

How will the CUE files support be implemented? More like old Amarok 1.4, or perhaps like foobar2000? BTW, it is the screenshot of foobar2000 playing some 1 hour MP3 with CUE sheet attached: http://lh6.ggpht.com/__NykcOmXMXk/SRF-D ... 00_cue.png

As you can see the CUE is something like folder with a set of shorter MP3s.
