Wed Dec 10, 2008 3:44 pm
How I can to install amarok 2.0?
Is there a package .deb for ubuntu/debian systems?

I have Linux Ubuntu, but in repo is amarok 1.4.10

PS:I have no idea about comping from sources.

In this case you should wait for your distribution to package Amarok 2 for you.

I'm having problems installing as well. I added "deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/kubuntu-members-kde4/ubuntu intrepid main" to my repo list, but I'm still not finding the amarok-kde4 package. Are the repositories down, or am I missing something?

Tried
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install amarok-kde4

All I got was
W: GPG error: http://ppa.launchpad.net intrepid Release: The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY 9423A34CCA967634
W: You may want to run apt-get update to correct these problems
alien@alien:~$ sudo apt-get install amarok-kde4

requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created

Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
  amarok-kde4: Depends: kdebase-runtime (>= 4:4.1.2) but it is not going to be installed
              Depends: kdelibs5 (>= 4:4.1.2) but it is not going to be installed
E: Broken packages

What does it mean not to have a key? and how do I get one?

your system gets its software from repositories. Some of these repositories are encryptet with gpg (GNU Privacy Guard). You need the key (9423A34CCA967634) before you can use the repositorie:

gpg --keyserver hkp://wwwkeys.eu.pgp.net --recv-keys 9423A34CCA967634 && gpg --armor --export $key | sudo apt-key add -

now you should have the key.

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install amarok-kde4

Still not working for me.

ymsetjenesta@ymsetjenesta-desktop:~$ gpg --keyserver hkp://wwwkeys.eu.pgp.net --recv-keys 9423A34CCA967634 && gpg --armor --export 9423A34CCA967634 | sudo apt-key add -
gpg: requesting key CA967634 from hkp server wwwkeys.eu.pgp.net
gpg: key CA967634: "Launchpad PPA for Kubuntu Members - KDE 4 Repository" not changed
gpg: Total number processed: 1
gpg:              unchanged: 1
OK
ymsetjenesta@ymsetjenesta-desktop:~$ sudo apt-get install amarok-kde4Reading package lists... Done
