I'm so disappointed now. I loved Amarok 1, but had one major problem with it: It wouldn't recoognize and make use of the "album artist" tag (and the "band" tag that's used similarly in ID3, which is missing "album artist"). I was soooo hoping Amarok 2 would fix this. I mean, every other media player I know can do this.

So after upgrading, I find all my compilations tracks having separate entries in my collection under "Artist", cluttering the collection and making it a pain to navigate. Not only that, but Amarok 2 has removed some of the filtering options, so that it seems I have to click "show under varioust artists" for each and every track. And not to mention that "various artist" doesn't apply to all albums that have differeing track artist. Why not just use the "album artist" tags, for goodness sake?

I have the same problem!
