Hello,

In Amarok 2.X I cannot do calls to functions as we could do in Amarok 1.X for LIRC (using IRexec) through DCOP. Here you can find these calls but amarok 2 is not included (at least in my KDE 4.1 installation) in DCOP.

Could anyone let us know how to make Amarok 2 compatible with LIRC?

As for DCOP: It was replaced with D-Bus in KDE 4. Amarok supports the full MPRIS standard:
